Heidi Moody

I’m Heidi. I love to run. I love Crossfit, and all things fitness and nutrition. I love to crush goals  and see others reach their goals too.

I wasn’t always fit and healthy. I was the complete opposite. I was overweight and addicted to  alcohol. 15 years ago I had a family photo taken with my husband and young boys. I looked at  myself and I was truly not happy. I was considered obese by the medical professional. I knew

I needed to lose weight, so I started by going to a dietitian per suggestion of my doctor. She  told me to eat legumes and vegetables, which I found to be extreme and boring. Seeing I was  also addicted to alcohol, this approach hardly worked for me.

I started walking, and then going to fitness classes. I found a group of people that could hold  me accountable to attending those classes. I began to feel better about myself both physically  and mentally. I joined Weight Watchers and started becoming mindful of what I was eating.  The weight started to come off. And the fitness started to progress. In that, I started  decreasing my alcohol consumption because I realized it was defeating the progress I was  making.

In time, with the help of support groups, I became sober. I also found running and found my  way to Crossfit. I discovered that when I treat my body with respect, it shows me the  capabilities it can provide in exchange.

I have a Masters Degree in Social Work with experience counseling mood disorders and  trauma. I added to my toolbox of helping others by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer,  Nutrition Coach and L3 Crossfit Coach. I use this knowledge, along with my own history and  progress over time, to help others learn behaviors that will empower them to make positive life  changes both physically and mentally. I am also an athlete over 50, so I understand the  challenges that come with having a family as well as those fun hormone changes.

Helping people make lifestyle and performance changes is my passion. Combining over 20  years of Clinical Psychotherapy with 13+ years of sobriety and 10 years of fitness performance,  I believe I have the skills to help you find the courage and motivation to find the best version of  yourself.
